We believe that tea should be shared.
The MTU is an excuse to pause. Inspired by the Chinese tradition of Gongfu Cha, we brew short infusions over many rounds. A single session may last minutes or hours.
We try to source quality tea, processed thoughtfully. Regardless of whether it’s pu’er, sencha, oolong, or breakfast, we look for leaves that have been treated with careful hands. The spirit of conversation is grown in diverse regions, and we try to support the growers and distributors who feel the same.
We searched all over for the perfect combination of cups and vessels in the hope of finding the MTU. Whilst we have refined the tea-brewing process, we realised that the MTU is not the teaware but the feeling of drinking tea with a stranger.
We believe that tea is magic.
Something happens when a group of people drink the same leaves at the same time. We enter a pocket. Conversation loosens.
Tea wants us to share. The MTU Podcast will be a way for us to share these moments sharing tea.
